I have been planning on doing a TT swap on my NA, but now that I have been talking to some of the local shops and looking into it more, I have started thinking about using my current block for a performance rebuild. With all the heating and cooling from the nearly 200,000 miles this engine has seen, it is getting fairly tempered, and would be a good base to bore out and drop forged pistons in. Now, with a good machine job, forged pistons, new heads, better exhaust, and NOS, I should be able to get a good amount of power out of a built VG30DE..... the down side is that I have never heard of anyone doing it, and testing it as hard as I drive me car. If I rebuild this engine from the ground up, doing it right with good quality pistons and rods, balancing and printing, could I get enough power out of it to make it worth it?
